Experience the beautiful and elusive Northern Lights on a private tour at Pyhätunturi!

When it gets dark it's our time to put on our skis or snowshoes and head out to the wilderness. We'll snowshoe or ski in the snowy forest around Pyhätunturi with our headlamps and on a clear night we'll also have the moon and stars lighting our. We will tour to an open space where we will get a good vantage point to search for the Northern Lights and given the right conditions we will have a great possibility to witness the amazing dancing Northern ligths in the dark sky.

During the tour we will stop for a break and start a fire together to keep warm. By the fire you will get to enjoy light meal or snacks made from local ingredients accompanied with hot beverages while looking up the sky searching for the magical Northern Lights.

Please note that the best possibility to see Auroras is in clear weather, when the stars are visible in the sky. It's important to remember that Auroras are not visible every night and therefore seeing the Northern Lights during the activity can't be guaranteed, but the experience of skiing or snowshoeing in the snowy wilderness after dark is an amazing experience itself!

Our Northern Lights tours usually start around 8 PM at Pyhä Ski Resort area and the duration of the tour is usually 3-3,5 hours. The duration and starting times can be adjusted to your liking.
